Environment Exterior WIP

From last week

  • started bring in models from Maya to Blender

  • The results of the roof was really bad so I decided to look for ways to redo it

Version 1 Test

  • used the height map to create the shape of the roof

  • was not satisfied with the look

Version 2 Test

  • using modifiers in blender to build the whole roof

  • also adjusted the colour

Made Variations

  • The Gate roof

  • The Main House Downstairs roof

  • The Corridor Roof

  • Start building my own Asset Library so that I can easily reuse the parts

  • Still have 2 more roof variation to work on (as it is more complicated)

Assets

  • Made Rocks and made a procedural texture in blender

  • Made a pond with the different rocks and a water texture

Current Process of the Environment

  • added the remaining parts of the building except for the two roofs

  • worked on the UV for objects in the scene

To-Do-List of next week

  • continue to work on texture and UVs for the other objects

  • adding a small garden

  • continue to work on the pond

  • creating small grass patches and a tree

  • finish the two roofs

  • continue to adjust/ refining the colour of the scene
